I find it slightly coincidental that both Giambi and now A-Rod have come down with cysts shortly after being caught using PED. I'm no doctor but it seems like this could be linked...

Any doctors know about this?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm i think your reaching on this one.

you can't just say steroids, when these guys are also using other drugs such as pain killers (whether its barbituates, cortizone shots, etc) to help mask any other injuries they may sustain.

at the elite level there is no telling what other drugs some of these guys may be on besides just steroids.

and it may effect his performance while playing, but may not effect his day to day living activities. just take that into account.

personally I have a cyst or something of the sort behind my knee, but it has never effected my function and its been there for years.

They were talking about this on First Take yesterday. They had a doctor on who denied that there was any connection whatsoever.

that's 2 people out of 104 that tested positive. So, 102 out of 104 did not. I'd say a more logical assumption would be that PED's prevent cysts.

Abscesses could form if the injection is not clean or bacteria is introduced. Otherwise, probably not
