I'm looking for a place in Dallas to have a nice dinner. I'm not from the area so I really have no idea. Last time we were there we ate at Sambucca (sp?) and we enjoyed it. We're going to have 6 people w/ us so a place w/ several good menu options would be great. Probably expect to spend around $40-$50/person, NOT including drinks. Appreciate the help.

Good luck doing that for 40-50/person (sans alcohol).

IMO, the best place in Dallas in that price range right now might be 2900: LINK

That said, if you want a scene, look elsewhere.

The French Room has a $50 three course meal during the week. Well worth it.

You can go all out for the Grand Tasting menu which is about 150 or so a person.

I've had the 50 dollar a few times.

I'm curious to try this. What did you think, particularly versus their normal menu?

It's great and a great way to learn the place for not a lot of money. Plus middle of the week and I don't eat real heavy or drink much anyway so it fits well.
