The grilled chicken club is the only thing I've eaten there. And its good.

Their steak special is awesome. A 10 oz ribeye, baked potatoe, and salad for like $10.99. I think it's on Wednesdays or Thursdays

I used to go there frequently in my younger days; I haven't been in about a year. The food was never spectacular and the drinks were always overpriced, but there was always a good crew of friends.

It's like it's a bar or something...
The food is good bar food, that's all. You're right, you won't be seeing it on Emeril's next menu.
Every time I go to Ivar's, I have lunch/dinner and a few beers, and somehow my bill always ends up being like $45. They are overpriced, but I still dig their bar food.

I rarely hang at Ivars-not my crowd. I think I ate some nachos once and they were unremarkable. I thought they would have Irish fare, but them being an Irish pub is a fail.

Food OK, priced a little higher than comps in the area, but I could live with that. Service sucks major balls. Our lunch bunch has written them off on the basis of poor service alone.
