Mitchell - Raw talent?

In several broadcasts the announcers said Mitchell was drafted because of his raw talent. Should this be perceived as an insult to our coaching staff? Please don't bash me just a question that popped into my head everytime they would say that.

I think they were getting at his hitting, I heard them say when he gets in the pros how they'll work with him on hitting curve balls and lefthanded pitchers.

not really... its more of a ting that he didn't start playing baseball full time and that he hasn't had a lot of time to be coached... so its not a knoc on our coaching staff
and if you saw the interview last night with coach M during the UT game you would know that ESPN was giving him TONS of props

I understand the point that with him playing football he doesn't get near the reps as the other players, but the announcers make it sound like he never played baseball before stepping foot on campus which is far from the truth.
