Add our track titles and I guess we win.

Major sports....
College baseball isn't a major sport (nationally). There are only two major college sports from a national standpoint. It's 3rd, but the gap from b-ball to baseball is huge. It is a major sport in BR, though, which is cool, and it's bigger than track.

LSU and Florida have to be at the top.
Both have 2 Football NCs
Florida has 2 basketball NCs while LSU has 2 baseball NCs
Florida has a trip to the CWS while LSU has a trip to the final four.
I don't think any other school can compare to the athletic success in the 3 major sports that these two schools have had this decade.

We haven't made much noise in college hockey.

Baseball draws over 20,000 in attendance in the National Championship games much like basketball.

Hey buckeye just cuz yall got beat by two football scores in baseball this year, doesnt mean that it isnt a national sport. Just wait till football season and you will get yours again just like you do every year from a team in the SEC! SEC! SEC!

But if you add up the amount of games at the CWS, it's about the same.

Syracuse has won 5 Lacrosse Championships and 00,02,04,06,08,09 and 1 Basketball in 03.
You can argue that College Baseball is a niche as a sport as Lacrosse in most areas of the country.

Since 1997 that has been the case. But before that, outside of the Superdome, it was usually in smaller arenas. College baseball is growing in popularity and if you look at Rosenblatt since LSU has been going there, you see the tremendous growth in the number of fans attending.

If you are going to look at those,
A&M won golf and 2 tracks this year

Florida. They also made it to finals at OMaha one year. Two in football and basketball is hard to beat. Texas has been a top five team for awhile in football and they have been the top team in baseball in the 2000's.

Lacrosse drew 40,000, that makes it a major sport?

You're right, the ratings and attendance shows it's not a national sport. I'd almost say I'm as big a LSU baseball fan as I am a OSU baseball fan. I know basically everyone on LSU's roster and can name two guys on the Buckeye's.

Football and Basketball are the two big money makers. Baseball is nice, but it is only a state sport in my opinion. An example of this would be that prob. the whole states of Louisiana and Texas were the only ones watching these games. I only wish that our basketball program could be in the hunt every year just like football.

UF would be #1 just because basketball bigger than baseball nationally.

Exactly. With that said, though, it is definitely a major sport in BR, and I love the fan support you guys show for it.

I've lived in the Dallas, Denver, and Cincinnati areas during LSU baseball championships, and I can tell you that until the CWS rolls around you see or hear hardly nothing about college baseball. It's even hard to find on ESPN.com. NCAA baseball is way below football and basketball as far as popularity goes.

This is wrong. The LSU baseball program generates more revenue than the Michigan State basketball program!!! Baseball is a major sport, and is on the same level as basketball.
