It's like other teams know we are running the ball and the exact hole

agree, I did get a little worked up over the game.

Seems Gregg is like Peyton and don't show much of his hand in the preseason anyway.

It will be like most Saints seasons. We have ups and downs. We will go 9-7 on a brutal schedule and miss the playoffs and not get a good draft pick

Another frustating year? And you got this all from the first pre-season game

Well if your all-knowing can you tell me who is goin to play in the Superbowl and how much they win by so i can bet it now.

I like Greg Williams..but Im worried about stopping the run. We really dont have run-stuffing DTs and throughout Traing camp this has been reported as one of the biggest worries

And if your judging the season on 1 pre-season game youre an idiot

Its preseason...this can not be said enough. So when NE lost every preseason game a few years back, were they going to lose every game in the regular season-no they actually won the SB! So, its basically glorified practice, and not a ton more. And like someone said, Brees played like most starters what 10 plays? That in itself changes the flow of the game...

We still can't run the ball.

The defense looks to be much improved, but failing to convert 3rd & 1 will kill us all year if we can't figure out how to do it.

oakland raiders are typically pretty stellar in the preseason..

it also seems like a ton of good teams want to lose preseason games..

I thought Breesus looked good as usual. Shockey might finally pay off. Vilma is going to be a BEAST. We caused a few turnovers. Other than not getting the run game going, which will come in time, I am excited for this year. G williams aint gonna show shite in the preseason fwiw

The defense last night was not good, but when you have Jason David as a starter for a signigicant period of time, you can expect to look bad. I can't for the life of me figure out how he is still on this team. However, there were a few good things the defense did and I think once Porter and Greer are the starters at DB, it will look better. However, the lack of ability to stop the run plus the offense's inability to convert short yardage situations does have me concerned.

This team still has major issues.

Stopping the run looks like it might be a problem all year. I just don't see enough horses inside on the DL, esp with Grant/Smith going to miss the first 4 games

The OL is a great pass blocking line, plus Brees gets rid of the ball quickly. The OL is below avg as a run blocking line IMO

The Defense certainly seems to be tougher, more aggressive so that could help cover up some of the issues on D. I don't see how they can keep JD around as a CB, just don't think they will. Certainly they played pretty vanilla. Williams scheme is somewhat built on knowing tendencies of the opponent. I wouldn't base much on preseason but I do think there are issues. Still, this team has more talent on paper than any during the last 5 years
