i have been ruined....everytime we go there for dinner...i get red vino and the sumo ribeye. its in a race with little village on the best ribeye in this town.

Not even the 3rd best sushi in Baton Rouge. If you like to hang with db's, you will enjoy.

i have to agree with you .. i just think glitz and glamour when i think of tsunami ... and i would rate it behind derek chang's koto, kamado's, and ichiban easily .. i'd call it the 4th best sushi ... i just always felt like tsunami almost walked into the BR sushi market with its "nose" in the air from day one .. but you can't beat sipping a cold beer on the patio overlooking the river at sunset .. it does have that going for it ..

they got that attitude from the laffy location. i know a girl that works there and she says it's mediocre at best (but she makes bank for a waitress)

oh, no doubt the place is always packed .. more power to them .. the unique location and build up coming into this market is still paying huge dividends for them for sure ... in fact, i still go to the lafayette location when i am there .. actually, that spot is just like any other sushi joint to me in downtown laffy .. but the one here just has this "BMW/ my shite doesn't stink because i have a tsunami lava roll in front of me" air to it ... of course, that is baton rouge to me .. pretentious as frick ..

I always hear people on this board saying that they dont have the greatest sushi....Do you have the same ipinion of the lafayette location??? I find the lafayette location to have excellent sushi and a very creative menu...

I'll run the risk of a certain member here calling me a snob again, but Tsunami is crap.

There...I said it again.

This board cracks me up. I work there and share some of the same opinions. But to say that the sushi is crap is a little too much. If you want to try good sushi, you should ask your server what they recommend or for a chefs special. Our sushi chefs are truly talented and come up with some great stuff. As far as attitude goes, I have to deal with douche bags of BR that go in there. And there are plenty of them.

I recommend: Candy cane roll
Ninja roll
Trans best bite
Tiger tail
Leon special
or Bon temps roll
