This game makes no sense. No one except the ND/USC rivalry travels across country these days. Minimal national exposure with a late start and we do even recruit the northwest and never will. Oh yea, Dinardo did get Jamal Hill as a "drop LB" in the late '90s out of Seattle area. Team will not not get back until mid morning Sunday with an SEC game up next. At worst LSU should have had ESPN lock this up as a day game before agreeing. Now watch UW bail out the contract for return game in BR. If Emmert not at UW no way the powers in BR take on this game.

they might be good by 2012, so it'll be better that we play them in Tiger Stadium then

In the SEC, Tennessee & Georgia do- well, Georgia's trip to AZ St. was unchartered waters but expect to see more BCS teams instead of rent-a-wins in the future.

Washington is down but a win vs. a BCS team is still mo betta than a Tulane or Troy.

True, but the time worked in USCs favor where as it works against LSU. Usually people on the east coast dont see USC games. And now they wont see LSU.

That's why home and away agreements are what most seek. LSU has not been prone to agree to those.

On a side note, I'm sure you know USC's game vs. OSU will be at the shoe this year. I'm sure you also know they've been to Arky and Auburn's stadiums this decade.

Absurd statement. Plenty of teams travel cross country for OOC games. It's an opponent from a BCS conference, which is far better than playing some crappy regional school. The game will clearly be televised (not true of a game against ULL), and it will give us west coast exposure.

Plus, it's fun for fans to have the opportunity to travel to a desirable location for an away game. I love playing in the SEC, but most of the destinations are boring (setting aside the game day atmosphere). I'm totally pumped about my trip to Seattle.

Yea, USC has a lot of incentive to travel to different time zones so that they can play earlier games, plus they have a chance of recruiting those areas.

DISAGREE...UW was 0-12 and a crappy team. Therefore, it's a great chance to show the nation how awesome we are.

BR to Seattle is about 600 miles farther than Los Angeles is to Columbus or Tuscaloosa.

True and they play in the PAC so they need us, we don't need them. And I do not care if the PAC has won 10 of the last 17, perception is reality.
