Is it just me or does it suck the way the traffic is routed after the game.

If you park east of Nicholson, you have to go all the way to Bluebonnet to get back to the interstate to head back to the Lafayette area.

Does anyone know any shortcuts or secrets?

It is horrible. I don't know why they route it like that. I think it would be much better as a free for all.

not really a secret or shortcut, but go towards downtown and merge on to 110 instead of trying to get on college or south acadian

they had lafayette busses with lafayette police escorts going up the wrong way on nicholson going northbound right in the middle of the 2 lanes jam packed with cars. stupid.

It's not really a secret, but I've found that leaving the game via Burbank is the fastest way out. It's slow around campus, but past the Circle K and you're good to go at speed. The 110 idea is a great one as well.

Nicholson gets too backed up and Brightside is impossible b/c of River Rd traffic. Burbank = more lanes = faster.

From what I hear on the OT cops were racking up MIP tickets and did not have time for traffic control....

With 90K people leaving a stadium all at once no matter what you do traffic will not be good.

I was listening to 98.1 on the way home and they were reporting 2 cars of fire at separate places and about 3 or 4 other wrecks. NOt to mention the ULL buses.

may sound crazy, but the further towards downtown on nicholson that i park, the quicker I get home. I much rather walk a good ways to get to and from the game, than to sit in traffic.

I've been to many different stadiums and LSU has the worst post game traffic by far.

Nope. Auburn is much worse. Just to be sure, I made sure to get stuck in Auburn post game traffic more than once!

Shut the hell up.

I was kicked back at home, while they were still bitching on the radio about traffic.

I am confused. How can there be post game traffic issues? I thought EVERYONE left LSU games early and that was the big concern. Now it's post game traffic? So which is it?

It can't be both...
