I believe it will be a 6:30, 7, or 7:30 CDT kickoff on ESPN or a 7 kickoff on CBS primetime. The SEC schedule shows it for 7. Usually they will not post a time for LSU/good SEC games because of the contract where CBS gets first pick. It appears CBS will select Bama/Ole Piss for the 2:30 game.

CBS shows one primetime game each year, and they will have LSU/UF as a night game

quote:WRONG. CBS has already announced that they are broadcasting the game as part of a double header that weekend. CBS has the LSU/UF AND Bama/Ole Miss games. ESPN has nothing to do with either game or time.

LINK"CBS has two doubleheaders and will use them Oct. 10 and Nov. 14. The network gets the first two picks Oct. 10 — Aresco labels the Florida-LSU game a “99 percenter” for prime time"

doesnt their countdown to kickoff always end at 2:30, right before their game starts?

When will an "official" announcement be made?

Ok that makes me feel better.

Look people, the LSU/UF game will be on CBS at either 2:30 or 7:00. CBS executive vice president Mike Aresco was quoted as saying the LSU/UF game is a "99 percenter" for primetime. That is all we know so far. CBS wants it in primetime. IF somehow LSU or UF lose a game before they play, CBS reserves the right to put the Bama/Ole Miss game in primetime if they are undefeated.

ok, but that is different than "CBS Announcing"...granted, chances are we will be a part of the doubleheader, if they in fact have a doubleheader that weekend.

if in fact it will be a double header, they will have countdown to kickoff at whenever it starts until 2:30, then the 2:30 game, then wheel of fortune reruns or some crap until the prime time gator hunt

quote:Are you kidding me. I guess the Exec. VP of CBS stating that in an article is not official enough for you? Like I said, thats just the first article I found w/ a quick google search. To appease you, I'll also link the "official" CBS sports website TV schedule. Look at OCT 10. TWO games are being played on that day. That looks like "CBS announcing" a double header to me.

Oct 10 is OFFICIALLY a double header weekend for CBS, like I said.
Edited to add link to CBSsports football page counting down kickoff until LSU/UF game. I'm not sure how more official it gets than that. LINK

It isn't official until there is an official press release from LSU, Florida, CBS, etc.
IF LSU were to lose to MSU and UGA (or Florida were to get upset at Kentucky), and Alabama and Ole Miss were both undefeated, then don't think for a second that CBS's plans could change.
Bottomline: is isn't official yet.
