The only thing worse than our offense Saturday night

Was our fans Saturday night. I'm sure it's pretty disheartening to the team to see that their fans have so much confidence in them that they leave with 5 minutes left in the game with a 10 point deficit. To top it off, when Jai Eugene intercepted that pass, the fans that were scrambling to the exits to beat the traffic were at a standstill trying to decide whether to actually leave or just stand in front of the people who were actually planning on staying until the very end.

Fans will do what fans do....still has nothing to do with the way the team played and the way the coaches coached

I was happy to leave the game to be honest. 4th and 1 so we pass the ball? If Crowton isn't gonna give us a chance, why stay?

I managed to sneak into the game in the 4th quarter. And by sneak in I mean walk right through the gate. I was surprised at the people leaving.

Just don't understand. If you are at the game, you probably have already made a day of the event. Why the need to leave 5 minutes early?

It's our black fist being held in the air. Deal with it. WTF difference does it make if you leave with 5 minutes left in the game. It's not like we were going to miss anything. Fan police need to take a chill pill. Pay for your tickets and do what you want to do with them. As a matter of fact, I think the people who sold their tickets for this game to make a quick buck are worse than those who left with 5 minutes left.

You can do whatever you want with the tickets you purchased. That's understandable. I just don't see it around the country in other stadiums, and wonder why LSU's supposedly awesome fan base bails on their team down 10 with five minutes to play against the #1 team in the country.
Hell, we didn't move the ball at UGA until the last 6 minutes. It didn't look good, but who knows what could have happened.
My point is, if you commit to 12 hours or whatever it is for an LSU game on Saturday, why the need to leave 5 MINUTES early.

This is retarded. A lot more people stayed than I thought would.

Did you watch the Georgia game jackass! We walked down the field the first 2 if not 3 possesions.

Why? You expect our fans to leave now?

I was at the game in Athens, Chief.
I should have said we didn't score touchdowns until the last 6 minutes.

My apologies to you sir. Thanks for clarifying. I just remembered how hopeful I was a the start of that game when moved the ball so well.
vs Georgia - 1st 4 possessions 33 plays 212 yards
7 plays 54 yards - int
10 plays 37 yards - FG
10 plays 56 yards - FG
11 plays 65 yards - turnover on downs
vs Florida - entire game 48(just a guess) plays 162 yards
At no time in the Georgia game did I feel like we could lose.
At no time in the Florida game did I feel that we could win.

The game was over at that point. And yes I was one of them leaving.

Same here. I remained optimistic that we could bust one play or something, but didn't really believe it.
I'm not trying to be fan police- I am just curious about the mentality. It is different from mine, which is fine. But if I show up on campus at 8 am, tailgate all day and have anticipated the game all week, I can't walk out of there with 5 minutes left. I know those 5 minutes will cost me 2 hours in traffic, but then I just get to listen to the post game anyway.

Before or after Jai's INT with 4:55 to play?
Like I said, I'm not playing fan police here, just trying to understand.

So when I left with 2 minutes left does that make me less of a fan? This is stupid quit these gay I bleed purple and gold threads.

No. The game was over.
More a discussion of the 5 minute to play exit crowd.

How can anyone complain about our crowd Saturday night? They were there on time for a change, really into the game in the first quarter and if Crowton wasn't asleep we could have scored and taken a 7-3 lead. Instead they decided to play footsies. The crowd went to sleep after that. They had a better idea than the staff what to expect in the way of play calling.

I agree with you that people can do whatever they want, we don't need "fan police", but in my opinion you can't also claim to be the best college football fans if you leave early.
