Yep I'm overlooking Tulane because if we cannot bet them even by overlooking them then the rest does not matter.

So for Bama:

- How do we contain and run against Cody and their Defense? I feel the runs up the middle will fail and JJ will be pressured if he has to sit back there or run an option.

- How do we stop Ingram and the Bama run game. I feel we will shut down the passing game but will they be able to run all over us? I think we have to take a chance and focus everything on the run with extra men on line and blitzing. If we can force Bama into a passing game, I think we can get turnovers.

Run and stop the run. Judging on our recent past history I have no idea but I cant wait to read some of the responses!

Special teams will play a role and their kick coverage is horrid.

Defense, I think Ingram gets 200 yards (a la Kenny Irons in 2005). I think Cody gets double teamed and there will be lots of runs to the outside to avoid Cody

Man up their receivers then sell out to stop run. We have all kinds of atheticism and talent to avoid Cody if we would just try.

I wonder if we'll see more of Riley, Cutrera, and Sheppard as the LBs since we are playing a pro-style offense that is a smash-mouth, running team. Coleman obviously will be on the field every time Bama is forced to pass. Coleman has turned into our best blitzer. He can still have an impact on the game playing less on 1st and 2nd downs.

- delay handoffs, draws and options dives
- set up the run with passes; get them on their heals as much as possible; play action, middle screens.

- bring the heat; got to attack them at or behind the LOS; spy the fullback and TE and man up the wideouts.

I do not believe Bama will be able to keep up with the speed LSU has at the skill positions. I believe that by the time this game is played you will see a different look to the team than they have looked all year. The second half will belong to the Tigers because their running will begin to start clicking after an evenly matched 1st half. There will be a mixture of passing and running. The running will start openning up after they get them to watching for the pass. Both teams will 2 field goals in the 1st half but the second half will be opened up and you will see Bama's defense hit like they have not been hit all season. This is going to be LSU's coming out game.

I say LSU 34 Bama 27

I say

Does Cody play on every down, or is he a situational guy?

We need to stretch the field both vertically and horizontally. Our WRs group is hands down the best in the SEC. If bama wants to put 8 in the box make them pay.

We need to use sets and formations that spread the bama def out.

I am worried about Saban's disguised combo coverages and how they might confuse young JJ.

Special teams will be important. We need to execute on all aspects of the kicking game. Arenas is dangerous and we have seen what the blob can do to field goal attempts.

Hate to tell you, but sideline to sideline, Bama has guys fast enough. We're not going to win by stretching the field East - West. We're going to have to beat them vertically, which we have a better chance of doing.

Our highest point total against the best defense we will face.

I don't want Bama kicking off too many times. This game will be on the defense to hold Bama below 14 points.

I think their redzone offense will be improved. You gotta believe that's what they will be working on for two weeks. We can't count on holding them to four field goals. We need three and outs. Our offense needs as many chances as they can get.

eta. Alabama's gameplan will be the same as Florida. Hold on to the ball and do not make any mistakes.
