The return game. Bama's coverage teams are suspect where our's are some of the best in the country. Bama is primed for a big return to be put on them and I think it happens this Saturday.

"Illegal block in the back, #XX, on the return team, ten yards from the spot of the foul, first down LSU. Time out".

There goes that advantage.

i agree, jones or trindon have to break one.
also how about one or two early interceptions. little nicky
will shrink up the play book.

a bama caller in bham yesterday said LSU's secondary is an (emphatic) WEAK...

as far as the return game goes, I agree, especially since Trindon has started going North more instead of East/West. However, we can't afford any 18 yard punts.

bama has given up two KR for TDs this year, VT and UK. PR coverage is ok, but Dre Kirkpatrick averages one PF a game on coverage, usually for catch interference or late hits.

arenas has yet to take a PR back this year. still one away from the all time SEC record for most.

And you have hit Bama's real weakness on the head. Bama's team and fanbase think LSU is weak. We have played NOONE according to their way of thinking and our offense CANNOT score on their defense. I'm hearing the same shite from their fanbase that I heard from Ole Miss fans before heading to "pathetic" Auburn. Who, by the way, was so "pathetic" because we beat them handily.

I really don't thing Bama as a team thinks LSU is weak. That is silly fan talk. I am pretty sure they listen to their fans about as much as ours listens to us. None....

this is bama's biggest game of the year. no way in hell the players take it lightly. if they do, they lose.

I think the only advanatge Bama has is their OL over our pass rushing DL and their DL over our OL. I really think our DL is ok in stopping the run personally. This kind of sucks since controlling the LOS is usually one of the biggest keys to the game.

Our DBs should be able to handle their WRs with man. Our WRs are easily tops in the league.

It's not just "silly fan talk". You can look at every game that fans get way too overconfident and the team also falls flat. Do not forget that many of these "fans" are students that the players talk to every day.

It is a fact that LSU is being perceived as "overrated" and fairly weak. There is absolutely no way that this line of thinking does not filter through to other teams. Not saying that it is THE factor but it will be A factor.

bama's passing game isn't exactly piling up the yards, even with jones

clearly, bama has the better lines. lsu's offense has been better lately but that doesn't say much. and while bama's offense has been struggling lately, they are solid and their d covers up a multitude of offense problems. bama controls the clock and gains more yards but i think a special teams play makes the difference sat. lsu 16 bama 13.
