A great coach defined on saturday!!

Maybe its just me that realizes this and maybe everyone does but you don't wanna talk about it. We have a spokesperson, a business man, a guy that looks like he can do the job. But we don't have a "Great" coach. Yes we won a national championship 2 years ago but we you got the talent given to you and all the right cards flip all the right ways its a little easier. I mean face it, you put any of the top 6 SEC teams in 2007 and OSU was going down. But when the game is on the line and emotions are flying high, we crumble. A "GREAT" coach takes the headset, throws it across the sideline, pulls his troops together, and makes them play the hardest they every played before! If you noticed on saturday in the second half, Nick's headset flew about 30 feet as he took control of the game. Coaches like Spurrier, Meyer, Saban, can take off the headset, get their boys together for crunch time, and take them to the glory land. LES can't do it! He's not that kind of coach. He has to have Gary in his ear the whole game as they both ask each other, what do we do? We've got more talent on our sidelines than most teams would dream of. Defensively, we praise our new coach. Offensively, its going to be a rough end to the season. But like i said, maybe its just me.

I never saw Tom Landry pull those antics or even Bear Bryant. That is not a great coach. That's a narcisstic egomaniac that should be penalized for those antics.

I never saw Tony Dungy throw one temper tantrum his entire NFL career. Yet he won a Super Bowl. Guess he wasn't a great coach though, cause he never sent the headset flying.

frick that, if Taylor doesn't get burned twice(once cause Peterson was on the sideline) LSU wins. And Spurrier? Come on, SC lost to Arkansas because of shitty coaching

Ok so they don't have to really throw the headset but they can take over the game on their own without another coach telling them what to do. Don't give me the NFL stand point either, thats no comparison. LES is not an SEC caliber coach and you know it. Yall are probably still Dinardo fans too i take it.

absolutely!! A player, some of whom are still in their teens are expected to show sportsmanship and control in the passion of competition-- and the "ADULT" "leader" of these "boys" is allowed to act like a two year old not getting candy in the check out line at the grocery store...
yeah, I said it..... "candy".....

I've been a part of the LSU family much longer than you have. Please stop with the stupid comments.

What you think Alabama wasn't going to score points? If he doesn't get beat, they find a way to score. Hell the first drive of the 3rd quater how you own teams. We haven't owned a team all year long. We didn't even own Tulane and ULL this year.

Yea he's got coordinators just like everyone else but watch him when the game is on the line. Its like playing where's waldo with his headset. Face it you denial people....we got out coached by a much better coach. We would love it if Saban never left us.

STOP THIS ...
STOP THIS...
JUST FRICKIN' STOP THIS!!
if Les Miles is not an SEC caliber coach then neither is Spurrier, Nutt, Petrino, OR Richt
Les Miles deserves better treatment from the "fans" at LSU MUCH MORE than those "fans" deserve another coach at LSU

Auburn would have to disagree and how is 42-0 with our style of offense not owning anyone? We're not a spread team that scores 60-70 pts you know?
