I knew we were in trouble when......

First series, JJ appeared to run past the first down marker on 3rd down and when tackled, the ball was spotted where he landed.....not where his forward progress was.
It was at that exact moment, I thought we were in for a long day with the refs.

The frickstick ref was standing even with his forward progress then moved back....
WTF was that?

I knew we were in trouble when this game was going to be played in Tuscaloser. The calls went about like I expected.

+1
JJ was a full foot past the first down marker. Of course, a gump would say these type of bad calls just happen and have no effect on a game.

Yeah, Jefferson could have helped us out a bit by just falling forward as he was getting tackled, but yeah, that was another one we got jobbed on. He was clearly past the marker with his forward progression.
I was proud of the performance from our Tigers yesterday. About five or six plays (our mistakes and some questionable calls), and things could have been different.

yup, seems every time we visit that state we get the shaft from refs.
And I am sick of the uga celebration call, that was no where near the calls we have recieved at auburn and bama. Yesterday was no exception, and if those 5 or so calls go our way and we lose, that would have been fine, preseason I figured 10-2, but to not get a chance is what bothers me, just give the players a shot and see which team comes up with the plays.
I really feel the whole country wants a bama vs uf sec title game, they have been saying that for weeks. Well thats what they have now, just the way they wanted it.

OK LSU played a PERFECT GAME and should have won by 40 points. What a loser you are. QUIT BLAMING THE REFS!!!!

Looked like he gave up the first down himself rather than got a bad spot to me.

Funny thing is later in the game when Arenas was knocked back 10 yards on a punt return, they spotted it where he was hit. It was the same official that made both spots.

We all know you love for Saban so we expect these type comments from you, but the problem is unbiased observers are calling out the refs and Mike Slive for the pattern of blatant bad calls favoring Florida and Alabama as well. I've read 5 articles written about the horrific officiating yesterday. What do you say to them? The work for SI, CBS, Yahoo, ESPN, and MSNBC, not LSU!

you guys need to get over this crap. arenas got knocked back, Jefferson went backwards on his on under his own control trying to get more yardage. go read a freakin rule book and quit being such a bunch of damned crybabies.

Rules state that ref makes a judgement call of where to spot the ball when forward progress was stopped. Jefferson did not move backwards but stopped forward and was knocked back. (BTW I am a HS official)

It was happening all game but was more noticable on plays involving getting to the first down marker. Watch the replay and pay attention to where the spots were marked for the LSU offense and the bama offense throughout the game. I rewatched the game this morning and counted 11 plays where the ball was marked back at least 1/2 yard up to almost 1 yard behind where the player advanced the ball. Every LSU spot was where the players knee hit the ground on the tackle...... not forward progress and not where the ball was when the knee hit the ground. They even went as far as giving bama 5 3/4 yards on a 5 yard penalty for running into the kicker. Go back and watch the play. the origional LOS for the punt was a shade on bama's side of the 50 and the 5 yard penalty was marked at the LSU 44 as forth and inches instead of 4th and a long one.

I want LSU to win EVERYGAME. This has noting to do with Saban. LSU didn't play good enough to win the game, and had ALOT of non -calls as well. BUT MOST of YOU LSU fans won't see that.
