Looks like we'll struggle this year in the SEC because of our lack of depth. Hopefully the recruiting class for next year will get us back on track. I have all the confidence in Trent Johnson, but we just don't have the talent this year.

It will be interesting to see what happens, the SEC hasn't looked good so far with a few exceptions (KY, TN, FL). IF Storm, Tasmin or Spencer goes down for any period of time, things will get UGLY. Although it's not fair to compare the two teams, LSU struggled early on last year as well. I think they will improve as the season moves along, but how much is the question?

Even early foul trouble for any of the three during any game could be disastrous.

Warren is a beast but he's having to do way too much under the basket right now. We're seriously missing a true center right now.

I agree with this, but I do think the game of basketball is changing and a true center is not what it use to be in the 90's. Taz has begun to take some low post slack off of Storm, but I don't see him lasting all season long playing 38-40 minutes.

Lack of quality depth and experience for sure. There are a couple of guys on this team, as usual, who will get looks in the pros, namely TMitch and Warren while even Bo will likely play somewhere beyond college if he chooses. It's playing in the tough SEC and against quality heavyweights like Uconn that creates the illusion
at times that LSU is depleted of talent. Remember the Tigers have already dispatched the team favored to win the Sunbelt(and a tournament-tested team to boot) which is a middle of the pack basketball conference. They likely won't defeat many if any ranked teams this season but I would not be shocked for them to meet my pre-season prediction of getting to the NIT, possibly winning 17 or so games total. TJ is way past proving himself as a coach and recruiter and the roundball program is going to stay up beginning next season IMO. The five guys hitting the hardwood next season are all bonafide players and will give the team a solid 10-man rotation, with probably at least two starters among the newcomers.

True. I remember when just about every team had a guy 6-11 or 7-feet. Now, when I see a team trot out a 7-footer, I am surprised.
