Why Gary Crowton will be Back Next Year ...

My feelings on Why Gary Crowton will be Back Next Year...
Fellow LSU Fans, lets think like les for a minute , I know you may have to use sentence that have no meaning and thoughts that go no were , but you'll be OK :)
Keeping Crowton on the staff just buys Les misérables an extra year of salary =ing an escape goat(crowton) when he make the final and last change of his tenure here at LSU.
I'm open to other reasons ...
But I didn't see one reason during the regular season for him to be back coaching LSU offense for the 2010 year.
** I guess the offese just needs to be dead last in the SEC to Finally make to change ..

Damn straight. Its a shame too. But in all of Gary Crowton's teams, you can see that he hasn't done well after his first year. I think he is coming back too...damn...

Crowton has never had a bad offense with a JR or a SR QB. Crowton has also been pretty good at developing QBs. The biggest issue with Crowton is that he does not do a good job with FR ans SO QBs.

It takes a while for Crowton to get the players he needs for his system. When year four rolls around in 2010, Crowton's system should be clicking on all cylinders.

LSU brought someone in as passing game coordinator. That's taking power away from Crowton, I'm sure he doesn't like that. Remember the co-DCs weren't fired last year. What hiring the guy from Florida is doing is giving Crowton incentive to leave since it looks like he will have a little less power next season if he stays.

Boston College -
Glenn Foley
La Tech -
Jamie Martin
Tim Rattay
BYU -
Brandon Doman
Matt Berry
John Beck
Oregeon -
Kellen Clemens
Dennis Dixon
LSU -
Matt Flynn
Jarret Lee
Jordan Jefferson
These are the QBs that have played at least 1 full season, or close to a full season under Crowton when he was QB coach or OC.
Lee and Berry are the only ones that you can classify as, "not good college QBs". Obviously, Doman, Clemens and Flynn shouldn't count as QBs he developed, but Foley, Martin, Rattay, Beck, Dixon and Jefferson were all coached by Crowton for at least 2 years. All those guys but Jefferson had great college careers. Jefferson is still a SO.

I wonder if les is going to hire a "option coordinator"
LSU needs one of those badly.

Name one QB that he has developed. I am talking about a guy that he got as a freshman and stayed with him and made him better each year.
People post that he is great at developing QB's. I want the name of one that he has developed, not inherited and had good results with.

Explain this please. He spent 2 years under Crowton. They had the 9th ranked offense in Crowton's 2nd year, Dixon's 1st year starting.

I don't care if he is back or not. There are good reasons for him to leave, just wish people would understand there are good reasons for him to stay too.

tell me, what's LSU's identity on offense?
and do you think LSU is a well coached offensive team?

quote:neither...im just not a bitch...crying about everything...and im not stupid enough to think that the offensive problems this year fall solely on Crowton,if it was Miles would have made a change! that would be an easy fix. im one who has know that he was not leaving and laughing at all the punks on here constantly starting threads like this one...
