Since the Saints are restructuring Drew's contract... What do you say he deserves?

I say, highest paid QB in the league...

5 year 100 million

If Saints win, YES. If not, then 2nd highest. Pay for performance.

Top of the line Mercedes-Benz from the dealership; keys to the city; government immunity, and a clothing line.

Drew Brees respects your generous offer, but would rather you use the money for charity.

Drew Brees felt like it was God's Calling to take the Saints' money so he could do good things in his life to help others.

I'll be curious if it will be an extension or are they going to rip up the current contract.

they're going to keep his current contact and extend it. depending on what happens with the salary cap, it'll be very interesting to see how drew handles it.

Why do guys think that Drew will NOT be looking for whatever he can get? He took the money the first time, he'll take the money the second time.

miami's offer was only two years. ours was six with an option to get out after the first.

Miami did not offer the money Drew was seeking.

i realize that. but i think his first year money and miami's first year money were pretty close. his contract was high towards the end as is typical with loomiss style of writing contracts.

Miami actually ended negotiations with Drew. But still in all the totality of guaranteed money and possibility of money earnings was not equivalent. Drew went with the better monetary deal. Let's not act like Drew wants to give away his services at a discounted price all of a sudden just because he's a "good guy".

no he wants to get paid and honestly deserves to, probaly just as much as peyton deserves it. but like tom brady he'll prolly take a little less than he's actually worth bc he fits here so well.
