Looking like a chance of NO 1st rounders for LSU

Truly a testament to the dip in talent levels in the past 2 years, or lack of development of that talent. Either way, LSU is clearly not as talented as many have claimed.
When's the last time we had 0 first rounders?

I can still see Lafell to the Ravens cause they are so desperate for a wideout. I mean up here you here his name tossed around alot.

True. Somebody will get pulled into the 1st round who shouldn't be.
Look at last year's draft. VERY weak for an SEC team like LSU. Doesn't look much better this year.

I bashed them early in the season last year (Tenn and ILL series) and made sure to come back and eat crow for that.

Dude, we had more people invited to the combine than anyone else. We're still pretty talented. Lafell will still sneak in first round IMO, and he will be a good pro.

No way in hell should he have been that high. But even so, who was drafted after him? What round do you have to go to find the next LSU player selected?
I think the 2005 and 2006 classes were definitely not up to par and it's what partially is hurting the program in addition to poor coaching.

Don't LSU have more players at this combine than any team?

You must be a professional sports writer. Nobody else has even said this before. Your insight is marvelous. You are truly one of a kind. We are very grateful for your indepth and original slant on LSU sports. Please report more often so we dolts will have some idea of what is actually going on.

Agreed. Lafell will be a raven IMO.

I think it would be a great fit. He could learn a lot from Mason. But if the rumors that the Ravens are bringing in TO are true, then I see them taking a corner, probably McCourty from Rutgers.
Their corners are awful, and they like going with the mid atlantic guys.
No way LaFell drops past mid 2nd though IMO. I could see him going to Seattle or Buffalo in the top 10 of the 2nd round. I'd love to see him in KC though. Will they keep the pipeline open?
If he runs better at Pro Day he could get back on Baltimore's radar, I guess, but have to see what happens with TO.

Not after they sign T.O.

Just no one developed into an elite player, it happens. That being said, Riley is a darkhorse. Two different NFL insiders talked about teams loving him on film (our LBs as a group played awesome this past year, something often lost on LSU fans as they played behind a horrid DL.)
If Riley works out very well, he could be a mid 2nd rounder or higher.

That's him. He ripped the team after UT and Illinois last season. He's unstable and rarely right.

Haha that is so pathetic. Some fans have become so spoiled with LSU's success that not only are we supposed to win every game hands down, we are are supposed to have players drafted in the first round every year. LSU will probably have no first round draft picks this year...so I guess with Miles as our coach that means we will never have another first round pick ever again...the walls are truly crumbling around us....hurry up get out while you still have time. FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL TO BE A "FAN" OF!!!

So you're saying if the players aren't 1st rounders they're not talented? That's BS. LSU had the most invites to the combine and will be represented well in this years draft with Lafell, Ciron, Chad Jones, Woods, Alem, Coleman and Trindon to name a few. Look for LSU to represent well in next years draft also, with Terrance Toliver, Patrick Peterson, Drake Nevis, Kelvin Sheppard and Joseph Barksdale.

I think the ravens would rather go for a guy like Tate or Gilyard.
