No... it isn't.

I think of a guy who had a good offense in 2007 and then
for the last two years.

Crowton and Miles have inspired dozens of loyalists who will fight to the bitter end. Their offensive genius is just not obvious to us peons. We don't have "it." We are incapable of seeing how stellar they really are.

Crowton is obviously an intelligent guy. I question whether his system is actually "too smart" for our kids.
You can know a lot about football but not get the best out of them. I think our decline offensively bears this out.
Trying to go back to a more smashmouth running game is a great idea. I would much rather put pressure on our running game than on the shoulders of Jefferson. I just hope we have the kids to execute it.

I think you left the word "bated" out between master and mind.

Crowton's closer to losing his mind then he is to being a mastermind

Every coach I've ever met in Louisiana from head coaches to OC's say Crowton is a genius. It's interesting how this year will play out.

You must know some crappy coaches

Crowton has become the offensive equivalent of .... well I'm not going to mention the Defensive Co ordinators name that got Dinardo fired, I'll just say Les Miles should suffer the same fate if the offense is as bad as it has been the last two seasons after making the decision to keep this guy.

........ LOU TEPPER SUCKS.

Crowton could definitely be Miles' Lou Tepper if he refuses to replace him after this season assuming the offense remains stagnant. Only problem with making Crowton the scapregoat after this season is that it buys Leslie another season to destroy the once elite status of the program. I sure hope they can turn it around this season although I'm not holding my breath.

I would hardly call LSUs football program elite, we've only been good for a few years

quote:Bandwagoner Alert. I see someone started following LSU football after 2003. Sorry to tell you this but only 11 colleges in the history of college footbalk have more wins that LSU. Top 12 in all-time wins is pretty elite. LSU has a long and storied tradition. And there is no debating that LSU football has been the elite of the elite this past decade. (more than "a few years").

Let me guess, you would probably consider Florida and their whopping 19 year tradition of winning an elite school huh?

first thing that comes to mind wheni think of GC is option to the short field with JL and plug in rb's name.

No not Florida; Alabama, USC, OU, ND, Michigan, Ohio St are historically elite programs. I'm not a bandwagonner either, been an LSU fan my whole life all sports, just being a realist, good assumption though I hope it makes you feel better
