Les Miles question.........a simple up or down answer

Apart from recruiting, has the level of the football program at LSU gone UP or DOWN since Miles 1st year?
Gotta edit since it started already
Is the program in better shape (UP) or worse shape (DOWN) since he arrived. I am not being negative or positive. All the answers could very well be "UP" answers and that would be fine by me if that's what the consensus thinks. Trying to make it where one year either way isn't the focus, but the overall program status under his tenure.

Well, in year 3 he won a National Championship so I'd say that was up from his first year.
Since then he's turned in two less than stellar years by LSU standards so I'd say the last two years are down from his 1st year. It's not always black and white homey.

Up and now we're going down. Until Miles proves that he can get lucky at coaching again, we will continue to go down. Not a negatiger just a realist.

I think it's stayed the same.
Everyone wants to remember the Saban years as being this dominant time period that Les Miles came in and shatted all over. But point of the matter is Saban only won 10+ games one time while he was here.
The last two seasons were down from Miles' first three, but not abysmal. I don't think you can separate recruiting from the mix, either. Recruiting is an integral part of what makes a program.
Because recruiting has stayed strong, Miles has his team poised to have more great seasons in the years to come.

Yeah, wanted to stay away from that because plenty (me included) will think since the recuiting is so strong, it shows we SHOULD be better. SO it works both ways.

I've never read anything like this on the Rant before. Thanks for breathing in some fresh air.

I pretty much agree but I think that what has happen shows that recruiting is just guessing. Miss on a couple of key positions and you can go from great to just pretty good.

Hey champ, can you read? Because if you're going to try and look up my posts, at least use MY posts. Here, I'll quote it for you since you are obviously having a difficult time.
And the fact that you actually used the phrase "nuff said" in a non-joking manner says all I need to know about you.

well it was harder to win 10+ games because there was 1 less game (usually against a rent a win) on the schedule.
We won 10 games twice (2001, and 2003) as well as 2 SEC Championships

First of all it was a joke, that is exactly what you wrote, I copied and pasted it, NO EDITING except for the *'s to box it!
Sorry , but even Les Miles could even tell that you edited your list just now!

same
He came in after a Cap One bowl loss and we just did the same. Positives and Negatives in between, but as of right now, program same.
I wish I could fully believe that.
