After getting swept by the fricking Pirates over the weekend, the Reds (now losers of five straight) come back home to play the Dodgers. This is not going to go well. The Dodgers have absolutely owned the Reds for years now. Homer Bailey (0-1, 6.97 ERA) will be pitching for Cincinnati, while Los Angeles will be sending Chad Billingsley (1-0, 5.73 ERA) to the mound. Hopefully Scott Rolen will return to action after being sidelined for the entire Pittsburgh series with a stiff back. First pitch is at 6:10 CDT.

The offense continues to struggle, and after two weeks of play, here are the shitty stats to prove it:

CF Stubbs: .167, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 3 SB
SS Cabrera: .240, 2 HR, 8 RBI
1B Votto: .283, 1 HR, 3 RBI
2B Phillips: .224, 1 HR, 7 RBI
3B Rolen: .219, 3 HR, 4 RBI
RF Bruce: .178, 2 HR, 4 RBI
LF Gomes: .243, 2 HR, 8 RBI
C Hernandez: .185, 0 HR, 2 RBI

fricking pathetic. I will keep bringing this up until it actually happens: FIRE BROOK JACOBY NOW.

Standings Update:
1. St. Louis (9-4)
2. Pittsburgh (7-5)
3. Milwaukee (5-7)
4t. Chicago (5-8)
4t. Cincinnati (5-8)
6. Houston (3-9)

I can only hope Bruce's 2 HR are him getting out of his slump.

The reds were quite the buzz kill this weekend. I didn't get to watch any of the games and refuse to go check out redzone bc its the equivalent to the rant after a football loss.

My only question is how did leake look?

Still missing the plate. Walked five I think, but played good damage control again for the most part. I'll say this: he's much better under pressure than Johnny Cueto is.

Leake has intangibles that will get him a long way in this league. With that said he brought down his walk total again this start. Want to see if he can do the same for the 3rd start.

The Reds are second to last in average, runs scored, and on base %. Only the Astros are behind them in those categories.

I watch the Reds get swept and watched my TDBL fantasy team completely shite the bed. Plus, I watched that entire 20 inning frickfest on TV Saturday afternoon/evening/latenight. Sports sucked for me this weekend.

I have to admit, although I'm a long time Astros fan, I love seeing this.

I cant say I'm surprised. All this does is guarantee that Chapman sees the big league team this year.
