What's up with Drew Stubbs, Reds fans?

I see he's finally playing, but I don't know how well he's doing. I had sort of a man-crush on him after seeing him as FR at UT hit a ball 450+ feet over the scoreboard at the Dish. And he was the fastest/best baserunner I'd ever seen. The first time we saw him, I told my roommate, "This dude will be startin in the bigs in 4 years." I thought he was destined to be a superstar. What happened? Is that still a possibility?
I know he had strikeout problems at UT, despite hitting for a good average. Has that hampered his development?

No plate discipline at all. He's striking out at an ungodly rate. What sucks is that he could improve that with a decent hitting coach, but the reds have the worst one in the league that's not named Terry Pendleton.

He responded well last night after being moved down in lineup with 2hits. He has some pop but like redd said he swings at anything. Once he has 2 strikes on him he has a 90% chance of striking out.
And yes the dude can straight up fly.
