Friday night Bryce Harper hit for the cycle. He followed that up with a 6-6 performance with 4 homers, a double and a triple, driving in 10.

here's hoping he's not another josh hamilton .. eerily similar .. hamilton was a clean cut phenom in high school with overbearing parents that wanted to bend the rules ..

he has tremendous bat speed. i noticed that right away when i saw him take BP when he was like 16.
how many home runs does he have total this season? well over 20 i'm sure.

The kid is so ridiculous.

I really hope he continues to get better. I want my generation to produce the best hitter of all time.

People also forget he's a lefty that throws in the 90's I believe.

kid is good. a coworker of mine saw him play at a tournament last year and said he is a turd. will not run out a ground ball....lacks hustle.....not a team player. take it for what you want, but it seems like his "stardom" has already gone to his head. would be pretty hard for a 16 year old to not get wrapped up in it all IMO FWIW IMHO GFY

I want to see what he does after he gets drafted
There's a chance his early success might hurt him in the long run

shite if a kid spends all week in school, every afternoon practicing, every weekend playing baseball, and then skips his last 2 years of high school, he's going to be socially deformed

even josh hammilton went out and scored pussy in high school

this kid has child actor future written all over him, unless he's just a robot with 1 mission (baseball)

He and his dad came about as close to saying, "school? have you seen my swing...we dont give a frick about school", as they could. He better not fail, cause that GED aint gettin him very far.

even if he does not succeed he could become a hitting coach like "the best hitter to come out of lake charles" austin naegle

he really messed up his career IMO FWIW IMHO GFY

i just got done watching the espn360 video in which he claimed he wanted to hit .430 in the big leagues. damn.

also, i couldn't gage how crazy his dad was from the video. seemed kinda different, but I would love to know all the crazy things he did to help make Bryce so good.

I think there should be an investigation into his real age, I bet he's about 22.
