did Quay Evans decommit from Ole Miss?

quote:

Quay Evans, defensive tackle from Morton, Miss., was one of the most impressive players at the Nike camp this past weekend at the University of Alabama. The 2012 star was a beast in all the drills and in the tug of war competition. He gave a very early commitment to Ole Miss, but he wants his name removed of that list

FWIW, Turner isn't 6'5; he's 6'3 tops... He is still gonna be a great player.

What is the general concensus? Definitely o-line or is he being considered to play DT?

If o-line is certain, will he play guard or tackle?

Oline, but would make a good nose guard

He'll be a offensive guard. He plays "out of position" on his current team, and plays some DT. His footwork allows him to pull well at tackle, and his athleticism allows him to play DT on the highschool level. That being said he prefers to play inside, and that's where he's offered.

And FWIW ESPN has him listed as 6'4, not 6'5.

Nothing in that article suggested Turner "showed out." He was there and he looked good though.

LSU commit Trai Turner (New Orleans, La./St. Augustine) would have likely taken home MVP honors had he participated in the one-on-ones. Turner is strong and able to manhandle linemen even bigger than he is. He's light on his feet and has the perfect temperament to play on the line. He's very tough and is the kind of lineman who plays through the whistle.
