Sorry if this has been discussed, but I haven't exactly been following all the stories of conference expansion very closely.
But, why are all the Big 12 teams being targeted. Are they unhappy with the Big 12 or is the Big 12 "going away"?

They were targeted because:
1. centralized location
2. close to pac and big10
3. some were not happy with their revenue sharing plan.
4. conference had't been together long, thus, not very much conference pride.
5. UT wanted more money. THis should actually be number one, because it's the main reason everything fell apart.
