90% containment by months end

Sounds great, and if true will be a hell of a lot less oil on our coast line, but even if true, by todays new estimate of 60Kbpd with 90% containment we will still have 6 times the amount of oil leaking than the initial estimates, yeah we are screwed

The Q4000 should be coming on line right now if it hasn't already. The enterprised has a couple of setbacks and should be ramping back up. So pretty soon we should be seeing at least 20-25k barrels per day being collected.
Later this month and into next month two different drill rigs will replace (not added to capacity) the enterprise and the Q4000. Together these two drill rigs will have the capacity to collect about 50K barrels a day.
Original time line was two more weeks (very end of this month) on Toisa Pisces and then another two weeks for the Helix Producer to hook up on the other riser.
I keep hearing that this time line has been moved up. I don't believe it. All the coorespondence that I have read from BP says Mid July for the Helix Producer. I do not know where the reports of the end of the month for both of these rigs is coming from.

The media is lying their asses off too. Its really an eye opening experience. I am in close contact with someone working with the animal rescue effort and the numbers that the media are spitting out are retardedly exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, there are still a crap load of dead and dying birds, however, there are a shite ton less coming in every day then the media is saying. If you can guess how many oiled birds were processed yesterday, you win something.
ETA: Also makes you wonder what else the media is lying about.
