Or how he fits in the defense this year? For being such a hotly pursued recruit, very little is being said about him at LSU. To me, thats not a good sign. Anyone heard anything?

I am curious as well. Les seems to deflect a bit when asked about Loston.

He can be a stud, whether or not he's being developed is the real question.

well, he can catch and run, we know that.

we have ridiculous wealth at DB this year. He's most likely a ST player who will get PT against McNeese and ULM.

Hes only going to be a redshirt freshmen. Looks promising that the spot is his when hes a sophomore..which is still great.

Unless he makes the switch to LB... he's got the build for it.

maybe his injured hand is healed now.
He is just starting. dont make a problem out of letting a guy find his way. He will get his chances.

Prevailing thought seems to be that the injured hand set him back, then when he returned, he would show flashes of greatness mixed with periods of less than 100% effort which frustrated the staff.
Hopefully since he knows he'll be eligible to play this year now that the redshirt is done, he'll take it to the next level. He's certainly got the measurables to be an elite player.

Some of the development is on the kid to. Sometimes work ethic and focus for a college kid may not be where it should be early on.
Not saying that is the case here, but it has to be said.
I think that we will see him in spots, if he comes on strong, he should get some playing time.
But expect Jai Eugene to get enough time to help his ability to be drafted.

I'm sure he'll end up earning the starting spot.

I do not think we're in a position to negatively judge our defensive staff. It's not like we finished 112th in the country in D last year.
It's so easy to point at Les when a player doesn't immediately become an all american when they were such a highly touted 5 star.

he aint doing that...

He sits behind Jai this year! See, Jai is the older guy who's been with the program all his career waiting his turn. And, we also know that the older guy should always be the starter. Isn't that the way it's always been? Oh, wait a minut...............................

loston was being talked about by the defesive staff, being moved to LB.

He will be the starter at safety before the season is over with.

So which NFL team are you working for? Or is this just a off hand comment from an arm chair talent evaluator.

this, quit freaking out people. It's annoying. Let him at least play a full season before we've declared he isn't being developed and the coaches are using him wrong.

I ask one question and its like talking to drunk barflies at 2 in the morning. I realize that most dont have a voice in life, but practice talking to yourselves in the mirror.
