It was on TV last night. I want to say National Geographic channel. It was a 3 part series (3hrs). The 1st was about the explosion, SAR, and the attempt to save the rig. The 2nd was all about how the people responded to the spill; clean-up crews, charter captains, fisherman, USCG & BP. The last part was called "Life After Oil" and it was about how the world would be if we ran out of oil, very similar to "Life After Humans"
All in all, it was a very interesting piece. I'm sure it'll play again just check you local listings

Sounds like an expanded version of the one that aired a few weeks after the disaster. That one focused only on the blowout, fire, loss of the rig (and personnel on board) and the steps to try to salvage it before it sank.
