starting lee over jefferson?
:beatdeadhorse: yea yea, i get it, but please enlighten me
say zach lee stays...
from everything i've gathered lately he seems a lot better than JJ aside form having no experience. That being said JJ has had a couple years of experience( and chances) and IMHO hasnt proven himself a good leader for this team. reminds me a good bit of aaron brooks the way he carries himself around the field.

You are serious? How many prectices have you attended? What criteria did you use to make your startling decision?

Turnovers are critical. I will take a qb that takes the sack over throwing the interception any day of the week.

i am serious.
i haven't attended any prectices nor practices.
I understand i have no concrete " seen it for myself" type info to bring to the argument but from what's said around here, articles and such...i dont have much reason to believe zach lee could do any worse than jefferson.

What leads you to believe that he will be better?
No practices, that's why I don't make arse hola statements like you did.

I think that Lee is potentially a better fit for our offense than is Jefferson. From what ive seen, JJ is very conservative with the football and of course that is probably stemming from the Lee fiasco a couple of years back, but damn he just doesn't need to be afraid to let it fly.
Lee, to me at least, isn't afraid to let the ball fly. Yeah, i know, i know, pick sixes..But i think he has come a long way from that. I guess we will see on the football field, but i think that Lee will be the best option at quarterback for this offense over the next couple of years. Whether or not Miles and the offensive staff see it this way is another thing. They may see some potential in Jefferson that I simply can't see at this point.
JJ has a good arm, but Lee's is better IMO. Game Manager? Again, i'd have to see Lee in more games. But if he(Lee) is indeed the better fit for the offense, wouldnt you guys rather him come in sooner than later? I know JJ will start vs UNC.
Jefferson is a decent runner, but we need a pocket passer with all the great wideouts we have. We don't need a running quarterback at this point in time(though of course it cannot hurt). Lee has legs, though
Not sure if you fellas saw his run in the spring game but he beat the D to the outside

Ok so do we need a runner or not? Make up your mind.

First off, Les' job is on the line. He's not going to put a true freshman as the starter at this point unless both JJ and JL go down.
If JJ is that bad, and they frick up Z Lee the same way they fricked up JL, we'll never get another stud QB with Miles as HC.
In the end, at best Z Lee will get in like JJ did at the end of the season in 2008. It only happened because JL and Hatch got hurt.

this is some criteria to base it off of
"He's very bright. He has great moxie," Miles said. "He's going to know what to do. He understands the position really well. He'd be a guy certainly that will compete to play snaps this fall." -les miles
and when i said he reminds me of aaron brooks i'm going by his demeanor, body language, facial expressions...and our shitty last couple of seasons

that's why i said "i think". It is purely speculation. You read into shite wayyy too much, my friend.

Okay, now you're just getting fricking annoying. I see you haven't jumped off that bridge yet

I simply said that we really do not need a running quarterback with all of the playmakers that we have at the wideout position and with an excellent tight end in Peterson..While it's nice to have one that can run, it is not an urgent need for this offense at this point. All of this is purely hypothetical, and, of course, my opinion. Do I have to repeat that last sentence again to you?
k thx

So because Miles commpliments a kid, he should automatically start him?
