I'd have to look at it again but wasn't it third down? We weren't quite ready for the victory formation.

Les Miles gets a lot of deserved criticism, but this is a bogus gripe.
It was 3rd down and 5 with 1:12 left. LSU still needed a first down before they could take a knee.

We had to get a first down to win. They ran out of timeouts on like 3rd and 5. They still would have had about 30 seconds when they got the ball back if we never got the first down.

You can't run out over a minute with one kneel. First down= game over.

I believe UNC had 2 timeouts when LSU got the ball back and used them up after 1st and 2nd down. On 3rd down, Ridley fumbled after getting enough for the 1st down. Had LSU simply kneeled, UNC would have gotten the ball back with time on the clock.

What happened I remember Jacob Hester and Charles Scott never used to fumble does the new rb coach not spend as much time on ball security as Larry Porter?

Good play call on that because Ridley got the first down and locked up the game...until he coughed it up
