I like Jordan Jefferson. You will never hear e belittle him or say that he sucks, but I think that we need a QB change now at the beginning of the season where the offense gets a chance to settle. I know that JJ was the stuff at Destrehan, but you gotta use your arm in the SEC, not just your legs.

I think that a mostly pocket passer in J LEE is just what we need to balance out our offense and get the consistency we need. I think that LEE will be a much better game manager. If you are gonna switch, switch now so we can solidify the O before we get to the bigger boys on the schedule

Props to JJ, but it is time to let LEE redeem himself

What say you?

It wouldn't surprise me to see Lee replace Jefferson by the middle of the season. Miles is very cautious about making QB changes. He doesn't want to set him up for failure. Everyone remembers Lee's pick sixes in 2008 and his mediocre performance in 2009. I believe that Lee is much improved, but Miles will work him into the system gradually.

i agree 100%. by the way if the insist on continually running the option, lee can actually run it better than jefferson. believe it or not.

i'm not sure about miles not wanting to set quarterbacks up for failure. they sure as hell did with lee in the alabama game in 2008 by continually passing the ball when lee wasn't having his best game obviously.

No matter which QB they put in there, they'd better work on some hot reads because I think every team we face will be blitzing heavy until we prove we can beat it.

+1.

I think JL at least deserves a chance to play 1 or 2 series a game now. If he's still a pick-6 machine, then we know what he's made of.

OTOH, I don't think it's fair if Les doesn't give him a chance to redeem himself.

they will be blitzig like crazy with Lee back there unless he proves he can complete passes to guys in the purple and gold jerseys.

I am not a huge fan of Lee,but, when what you have is not working you need to try something else.

The pick 6 thing is an anomaly. He may have the interceptions, although I hope he has learned from his mistakes, but to say he is going to throw pick sixs is unfair.

he did throw one in the spring game

our defense is good enough to give him a shot. i know he won't start next week but he needs to get 2-3 consecutive series to see how the offense flows with him at the helm

Just to clarify, I am actually skeptic of Lee in general, but I have to say that I do feel more confidence in him overall especially with the protection that he has from the o-line and the redeemed running game that we have.

The o-line is opening up holes for the run which opens up holes for passing. I think that he could be a surprise and maybe play as solid this season on par with Flynn

I don't know what it is exactly, but it seems as though JJ isn't working out. It's puzzling to me actually. Whatever though, I feel it's time for a change. Lee can throw the ball. We don't need anyone to run it; we got that in abundance. If we had someone who could throw the ball downfield we'd be very, very good. Especially when you factor in our defense.

I am a little un-easy with JL too, I thought JJ was going to be the answer after the Chicken Bowl But after the last 1 1/2 years, Now is the time to give JL another chance...

we booed Lee off the field we were so fed up with his "great pocket passing". LETS BOO HIM OFF THE FIELD AGAIN FOR THE BAMA GAME AFTER WE GET TIRED OF HIM. we are good fans. wait... what?

If you are skeptical of JJ, after that terrible start, what would it take??? I feel so bad about Lee being ruined at such a young age. I would forgive some pics.

Thing of it is, when teams blitz us, it might actually help having Lee back there, his release is 100x faster than Jefferson's. His problem was trying to make something happen instead of throwing it away when protection broke down. I'd say we have the makings of a strong line that can actually give him some time. Even with Jefferson back there, we've only given up 2 sacks thus far.

Give him his chance. I'd take an interception in EVERY GAME if Lee can put up 250 yards and a couple of scores with it.
