Possibly need some help from LSU..

I am hosting a family at the US Army All American game in San Antonio in January. This family is the family of a 5 year old kid named Caleb. Caleb has been battling Leukemia for 2 years. His family is very die-hard LSU and Saints fans. I was hoping to maybe come across someone who might have connections to obtaining some signed Saints/LSU memorabilia to be presented to Caleb and his older brother when I take them to the game in January. If you have any leads please let me know.

I'd be willing to bet that if you sent an email detailing your desire to the football office, they could figure something out for you.

Agreed. Try emailing someone at the AD or Football team. I'm sure they would like to show support

I wouldnt be surprised if Les got this letter on his desk and would show up personally to present a ball to him...

If you can't get anything from the AD, or anyone at LSU, I have an autographed LSU memorabilia helmet signed by the 2009 team... Notable sigs are Jordan Jefferson, Keiland Williams, Josh Jasper, Brandon Lafell, Sam Montgomery, Richard Dickson, Larry Porter, Harry Coleman, Trindon Holliday (I think), Jarret Lee, Charles Alexander, and maybe Charles Scott... An Ex gave it to me on my birthday and it seems fitting to send it to someone who would appreciate it

Don't wait for a response. Emails are too impersonal for what you are doing. Call the Athletic Dept. and tell them specifically what you are doing and what you'd like them to do or donate to you. You're much better off.

I recently contacted the LSU compliance department regarding a request for autographed memorabilia for non-profit organizations. I sent them an e-mail question for clarification to compliance@lsu.edu and received a response in a day or so. You can find their contact info if you go to lsusports.net and select Departments / Compliance & Autographs (or, click on the 'Staff' heading and you will see contact info for all the AD, including the compliance folks). If nothing else, I would bet that they could get your request in the proper hands to make something happen for Caleb and his brother!

Just email me at rileytime@hotmail.com and I will send it to you to give it to him anyways. My girlfriend, not the one that gave it to me, said all she asks for is a picture of him with it, not for proof or anything just so she can see his appreciation.
