If we had such a good season, and were such a great team as....

most of the "positigers" would say on here...Why did Vegas have us losing to FL, Bama, Arky, Aub...I wonder what their real line would have been had NC had their whole team...
I mean, 10 wins is good, sure...but as far as respect, Vegas makes a living doing this stuff yet against all the big schools we were the under...you had one side worried about being mediocre and the other side loving Miles...
you sure were getting the respect that some on here think we have?

Well, we beat two of those four (by one possession), and lost to two (by one possession). So I don't know what your point is. In the SEC, you don't really need abstract "respect". If you keep winning, it will come.

I understand that you have to get money even, hence the spread...but since more were betting on the other team, wouldnt that go with what I was saying?...more people betting on our opponent...?

Vegas sets its line based on where it thinks the money will be. It adjusts its line based on where the money actually is. It isn't a comment on anything else but what it takes to balance the house's book in advance of a game. Using the pre-game spread as a measure of which team is better AFTER THE GAME HAS BEEN PLAYED is the essence of stupidity.

I guess you glanced over this post.
LSU was 8-0 as the favorite and 2-2 as the underdog. Some would call that successful. But you go ahead and keep pining for this "respect" you care so much about from the media. I'm sure all of our opponents respected us (if not some of their fanbases).

i guess miles coached a team that was suppose to lose four games to a 10-2 season. outstanding coaching to over achieve the expectations from the experts?
