Sheriff Royce Toney had a good one built in Monroe while he supervised the operation.

I assume you missed the supervision part for the Sheriff due to recent stories that have surfaced of the activities out there while it was being built.

Howard Prince gun range is a good one. I think it is like 700 or 800 yds. It is in West Carroll parish. Pretty nice setup there. Concrete benches and such. They put a lot of money into it. Also have pistol and skeet ranges. $10 to shoot.

Info on the Bossier Parish range
I have shot up there because my wife's grandfather if the former sheriff, but I think it's only open to Bossier Parish residents on the weekends. You need to call the number in the link to find out.

The bossier range is very nice 1000 yd range. Built and paid for by the residents of bossier parish. Unfortunatly, the range was only available to those residents by appt. A few weeks prior to hunting season. The rest of the year, no access.

Natchitoches has probably the nicest range in the whole state overall, offering rifle, pistol. sporting clays, skeet, 5 stand, archery and cowboy action shooting along with a small pro shop with ammo, targets etc but sadly the rifle range is only 100 yards. We have tried many times to buy the land to extend the range but the landowner will not sell.

However, if you ever have the chance to visit for purposes other than long range rifle, I think you will find it very nice.

They have one in Winnsboro that is pretty good. Not sure how long it is but they have an annual competition there that, no shite, draws people from all over the world. A few years ago I talked to a group from Australia who flew in for it.

Link to Winnsboro Gun Club

Not sure if the Range is open to public.
