After re watching the UT game, I was reminded of how unbelievably didgusted I was in thinking (at the time) that we had lost another game in that fashion. The penalty was called, we ran it in for the TD and the rest is history.

For those thirty seconds or so I was convinced that it was the nail in Miles coffin and agreed it should be. After the win, some cooling down and an eventual win over Bama, I like most burried it in the back of mind.

So I pose this question, had UT not committed the penalty, would Les still be at LSU? There are so many dynamics to this question, I still haven't decided. would the wins over Bama and UF have saved his job? what say you?

I think the season could have possibly been alot different. I am very very thankful for that little yellow flag in the corner of the endzone.

Given that we beat Bama and UF, a loss to Tenn. wouldn't not have been enough to fire Miles.

FWIW: The object of the game of football is to score more points than the opponent before 4 quarters of play has passed. We accomplished that. We won. Let's move on. We have a very important bowl game to focus on.

FWIW: Have had some gripes with Miles but not a nega tiger by any means. After watching the game agin I was reminded of the melt down and just curious what most thought after the season had a chance to play out.

Will we lose if I'm not focused on the bowl game?

Should have stayed for what? I stayed and it was nothing special. Some of the worst football you could possibly see to end a football game. I'm glad we won but fans didn't walk out of there chanting geaux tigers.

Smartass. I'm just saying that I'm tired of hearing about it.

Really?

Going from the agony of defeat to the possible thrill of victory "was nothing special"???

I was one pumped puppy, but each to our own.

I was laughing at the ineptitude of the two coaches the whole time. I have not taken losses hard in quite a while, so the whole thing was very amusing to me.

I honestly believe there could have been something resembling a riot if the game had ended like that. In that minute or so you could see and feel 90K people go from shock to disbelief to pure rage. There was already shite being flung from the stands and I think it would have just escalated from there.

The season also could have turned into a disaster after that too, IMO

This shite is ridiculous. Had karnell hatcher not tackled his own player we cpuld be in the sugar bowl. Had we lost against tennesee and instead pulled auburn game out and won the sec we would be in the bcs title game. You get my drift? We won the fricking game. They made a mistake and lost. Its all part of the game. No telling what our record would have been, but yes a lot of peeps on the rant want miles gone after every loss. I know people were pissed that we beat bama cus they have to eat their crow about the non sense they were preaching after we beat tenn and the other 8 teams we beat.

I can do this all day for any team in any sport during any time era.

Not denying that some humor can be found in the last 30 seconds ,but true "ineptitude" is not being able to count to 11.

Are you fricking serious???? You're acting as if the UT and AU games were the same thing.

LSU was so close to losing the UT game that the announcers it called it with no time on the clock. But it took a miracle for LSU to win.

Yes, it's true LSU had the ball with the game tied against Auburn late in the game, but it took a miracle for LSU to be in that spot having given up 500 yards rushing -- and it would have taken a miracle for someone to block Farley.

Please, don't act like they're the same thing.

Yes, Auburn won by a TD, but they could have won by 5.

A miracle? Dooley's "13th Man" was not a miracle, it was terrible coaching.
