With baseball season upon us I have found my good reason to start boiling crawfish. However, there is no complete index of local prices online. To ease the process of finding the best price let's start here. Post price/lb, location, and whether its live or boiled. Happy boilin'

Once the season gets going they are usually pretty accurate.

right now you're going to pay about $3.00/pound witch translates to about $150 per sack!

I'd go catch my own or hold off for a while, but thats just me

Yeah, usually not economical to boil crawfish until mid to late march

Rarely do I eat them before mid March myself until late June when crabs start coming in which I'll eat until fall when oysters come in. Shrimp from now until fall but of course you can get some good frozen ones.

With warm temps this week into the weekend you will see more crawfish in the next week or so. Price should drop "some" by the time Mardi Gras rolls around, probably not much though.

Hopefully it stays warm. Prices sucked last yearr. I paid $6/lb boiled at Crawfishtown USA last Good Friday (I suspect they up the price on that day). Still it is always top notch crawfish.

Is there any place in BR that sells two differently seasoned boiled crawfish mild/spicy. Lafayette places do but it seems in BR you get what they have.
