If that's what you want to call losing 3 games to a team that is clearly better than we are.

Anyway, our slump in 2008 was early...we were 4-11 at one point in the SEC (or close to it). We made the necessary changes in batting order and got hot and stayed hot until UNC.

In 2009, the slump was pretty much never a HUGE slump, but it was just a matter of finding ways to stop losing to inferior midweek teams and being able to sweep an SEC foe. I suppose the lowpoint was when we lost 2/3 to Tennessee. We got Mahtook in by March and then by April, Nola was inserted. We became the best team in baseball...and I say that before we went to the CWS. We had every thing a team needed. Best team since 2000, obviously.

Last season, we were in critical mode but Katz and Edward and some pitching changs really propelled us. We just got thrown into the worst possible regional.

So, we get swept today possibly and you just know Maineri is thinking of change. I doubt he changes Watkins because he just loves Trey. I think Lowery needs to be in the lineup. Whoever he chooses to replace or change (maybe swithing some hitters in the 1-9), Paul will likely make a good decision and it will only make us better. In other words, it's rare to see the same 1-9 in May and June that you saw in March. He's hopefully observing for the main sake of seeing who needs a shot and who needs a seat. I'm confident that he'll make the right decision.

Yeah, I think after this weekend we may see a few changes to the starting lineup batting order.

I'm impressed with our freshman pitchers.

Just a change in batting and maybe a position here or there. Lowery would be a nice addition if we can fit him in somewhere.

Just something to jump start us for the rest of the season.

He definitely needs to. Lowery offers more of what we need. We already have speed if we lose Trey. He's good defensively, but he's not better than Leon Landry was, nor Mahtook now. He strikes out often and when the sacks are full and he's up, I almost wish he wasn't. I'm sure Try is a great kid and he's a Tiger and I wish him only the best...but I really think it'd be best for LSU if he was sat for a while and then given a chance to come in late as a PH/PR and for defensive purposes.

I like Mahtook at lead off, but that's just me.
JJ up in the lineup even with the tough series
Look at Eades more

Jones not being able to get a bunt down? Ott surely didn't help? Nola and errors? I don't know dipshit but to say to fire pm is just stupid.

Changes:

1. Hanover (he walks a lot and he can hit...he could be a great leadoff man if used properly...he can run).

2. Jones (not a typical #2 guy, but neither was Ryne Sandberg)

3. Rhymes (driving in runs from the 2 hole thanks in large part to Jones and Watkins, but he's clearly our best pure hitter to all fields...right now)

4. Mahtook

5. Lowery (This kid has pop in his bat. Get him in. Place lf or dh and let Rhymes play the field)

6. Nola (he's ok in either hole...can switych him with Lowery and it's the same. He's clutch, but no power from that 5 hole where we traditionally put good homer hitters ala Clark)

7. Katz (great in the 7 hole)

8. Edward

9. Ross

Would you keep Edward in over Dozar?

And yeah, let's fire a coach who has a 6-3 record in Omaha. Let's get rid of him for taking us to the postseason for 3 straight years. Let's fire a coach who has made us relevant again. I sure miss those Oregon State national titles while we sat our asses at home under a head coach who is qualified to be a scout or a batting instructor.

I love how some just think the "fire" mentality is the way to go and a fix. These kids would surely adjust to a new coach in no time in the middle of the season, right? Recruits would not care if PM was fired and George Horton came on down. It's just a head coach... no? Meanwhile, none of our competitors would dare want Paul Maineri. Tennessee, Auburn, Georgia, and Bama do not want a coach to bring them back to their glory days.

Yeah, I would. Others disagree perhaps. I would at least platoon, but Edward just looks better all around. Dozar brings ledership and is an outspoken guy, but so was Haydel. Edward needs to work on his plate approach more because he looks like a guy who should be able to hit 15 homers.

Surely, you're not serious. You wouldn't want to be classified as the dumbest Tiger fan ever, would you? Well, maybe you would...

You don't pull Dozer with how he's played the last week. He's stepped up at the plate and defensively, with exception of one play today.
