Dive Bar

By definition:
This place is going to be stinky and lame. You don't come here for the drinks, you come here to eliminate sobriety. All of the regulars there have a smoker's voice and a hard look to them. If you try to go there dressed nicely, you will get stared at and singled out. Wear shoes that you wouldn't mind squashing some roaches in.
There seems to be a mis-understanding of what a "Dive Bar" really is.
In BR, go check out the Patio Lounge if you really wanna see one.............

Gotta go with the French Connection on Old Hammond Hwy. The Patio is high class compared to The connection....Just ask Terry Swetfield.

So I guess the alcohol is much stronger at dive bars then?
Or does the darkness, or bad smell, or maybe the roach population make the alcohol act quicker?

I am guessing you have never been in that state of mind you must belly up to a dive bar. Sometimes nicer environments simply will not do........

I guess I haven't. Can you explain it to me?
I'm still not really clear how the environment has any connection to level of drunkenness.
