What are the chances that Mainieri gets rid of...

more than one assistant coach after tonight? I know he's mentioned changes that need to be made, just wondering if anyone thinks that multiple changes could be made this offseason. Fwiw, I think if just one goes it'll be Sanchez and not Grewe although I could see arguments for either.

Our base running has been bad all year. PM needs to take charge of that issue.

I'm guessing he waits at least until the field of 64 is announced, just to see whether we get in or not.
But CPM needs to take over at 3rd tomorrow and for whatever remains of the season, regardless. Sanchez is a complete disaster out there.

But like you said in the other thread, Grewe doesn't exactly have a stellar resume' the last two years either. I guess we'll see in a few weeks

Good coaches IMPROVE good players throughout their college careers.
Anyone seen Mattie Ott improving since his first year? Our base running is the weakest part of the game and IMHO cost us the game tonight.
I think PM simply MUST replace Sanchez this year. And I'm not sold on Grewe at all. He's a great recruiter, but the pitchers just don't improve under him to any degree.

I'd assume he makes the announcements when LSU's season is over. So once they are eliminated from the NCAA Tourney. "Few weeks" is a pretty generic time period.

Are telling me LSU Baseball can't find the money to keep Grewe for recruiting and hire a pitching coach? Jesus, give him a camp!
