What's the story on this kid? He has an offer from Mississippi State and likes our staff will be at our Elite camp next month. From his scout article it seems he wants an offer from LSU but is looking elsewhere since he doesn't have one.
Why hadn't LSU offered? This kid looks like a BEAST on his highlight tapes. And will LSU eventually offer?
The State fans are excited about this kid and would love to have him if LSU passes.

There is a glut of LBs in LA this year and the staff will have to choose carefully who they want.

Not according to his scout interview or profile. The way I read it, he will commit on the spot if and when LSU offered him. They havent so he is shopping around.

He'll be a Vol if we dont offer at the July camp. We are going to take 2 or 3 OLBs and 1 or 2 MLBs. We already have 1 Mike and 2 OLBs committed, and that last LB spot is being held for Devall, but if Devall commits to Bama or A&M, Otha would be next

Where does Richie Brown fall in the mix? Another poster seems to think LSU will also offer him.

Dont think Richie will get offered by LSU, just my opinion
I think the only way we would have taken him is if we thought we needed to do something drastic to get Nick James to come here, but I think the staff is very confident with where they are with James

FWIW I don't think Richie and Nick Janes are very close.
Also Richie is number one on our LB board even above Otha Peters. We were the first school to offer him and I think we can get him as long as the big boys stay away.

What do you know about Humes? Do you believe he can play in the SEC?
He has great size for a corner at 6'1 190. He also has an impressive offer list. I don't see how he is only a 5.5 on Rivals. That's the same as a 2 stAr on scout.

No doubt. Hes gonna blow up this summer and this year. He was hurt last year and just in the last few weeks started getting back going.
Hes a legit 6' 0" and 205.. rock solid (no homo). Runs a 4.4 laser, hand timed 4.37

Yall definately are recruiting him the hardest. He just doesnt like that yall are sponsered by Adidas, if it wasnt for that, he would already be commited

No, hes not going to any State camps. Hes going to LSU, Bama, and some combines. If Bama or LSU doesnt pull the trigger, he will be a Dawg, Adidas or not
