It's too late for Jefferson's image at this point

The local and now national media has tore down his image by repeatedly reporting half truths and misleading stories. We have a country full of butter filled moms and testerone fueled men threatening Jordan and even the school in general because of what could be something that doesn't even bring charges on the young man.
Way to go journalists, you've given the insatiable idiots something new to hate. Next thing you know our Live Oaks will cause Dick Cancer and birth defects in Pandas born in China

if the tards do anything about it the law will be after them just like it is currently after JJ.

Yea, this is not good at all.

On the plus side they have a short attention span and virtually no memory. People who don't pay close attention to SEC football will forget this a week after its over.

meh....it will fade away.
Idiots can't sustain passion for very long. They will be distracted by the next shiny thing soon

It's not too late. Michael Vick tortured dogs to death by electrocution, beating them against the ground, and various other methods (if my memory is correct). And he was almost on the cover of Madden 2012 and was the Comeback Player of the Year for the NFL.
Jefferson allegedly kicked someone in the head and doesn't appear to have caused any permanent damage. So his image isn't any more irreparable then it was prior to this incident.

They act is if the marine was in his dress blue and white uniform with a chest full of medals trying to save a baby from being sacrificed to pagan gods.

Not if the truth includes that they were trying to help this young lady as been discussed. That may totally turn things around.

i cringed everytime the media mentioned "marine"....like he was a war hero home on leave out in uniform.
i had feeling this would happen

A dozen morons on a social networking site do not constitute an entire country
I can't believe I have to tell people this

JJ is screwed. He is already one of the most scrutinized player's I've ever seen at LSU. This just adds to it. Each time he does something wrong in the game, he is going to get double fan reaction.

the local Houston ESPN sports show was still talking like this guy was just helping out some strangers

They probably think he was. One dumbass marine said the guy was currently in the hospital with brain damage.

the sad thing is when the whole story comes out, it won't be told (especially if it shows the "hero" in a less than honorable light).

Won't matter if that is true or not. This count who calls himself a Marine could admit he was raping her and Jordan simply stopped the rape with a sweet ninja kick and the people will not care. The first story is the only story anyone outside of the normal LSU influence area will remember or at least care to remember

It needs to be especially if these 4 young men were not starting anything and were actually trying to help a young lady.
