Huge college football family, coming with my 15 year old son. Never been there before and can't wait. Flying in on Friday and spending the day in New Orleans and coming to Baton Rouge Friday late afternoon.

Would love to know what the "must see and do's" are, starting friday evening. Where should we go to get "gear" friday night?

What do we do on Saturday before and after the game?

Looking on Stub Hub, lots of seats. Where should we sit?

Thanks! Go Hoos! Geaux Tigers!

See the band come down the hill. Ask around for the time.

Be in your seats for the pre game.

with a 15yo...go to Walk Ons...the pre-game vibe will be pretty good...

Wake up Sat am...get to campus early, you can get all the gear you need at the LSU Union...

see Mike's Habitat, see the band walk down Victory Hill...be IN the stadium for pre-game..

if you have time, make some piss balloons and throw then at the UF players and fans....its tradition..

I LOVE SEC football. Being a UVA grad is awesome. Being a UVA sports fan is one of the toughest jobs
in America!

Lower bowl near the north endzone

Hopefully this one is at night, but I'm not holding my breath. Day games are pretty meh compared to the electricity in the air under the lights in Death Valley

Good choice.

Tiger Stadium will be rocking.

Sadly the game will be at 2:30, but that won't take TOO much away from the intensity.

We like the north endzone. It is near the band and student section. Don't get seats in the upper decks if you can help it. You get a good view of the field but are FAR away from the action

If you look on lsusports.net the week of the game, they will have exact times that the team and band come down the hill. Look at the Game Central page. Plan on being at the stadium about 2 hours before kickoff.

That'w where I want to sit. I see 3 levels in the lower bowl. Are there seats that are too low? Which level?

Agree with what people are saying about sitting in the north endzone.. Doesn't get much better than there.

Also, you can check dandydon.com for all the times you need the day of the game or maybe even the day before. It'll have when the players come down, when the band comes down, pregame, etc..

Be in your seats at least 30 mins prior to kickoff.. Like they said, you don't want to miss pregame.

Hope your time is enjoyable and unforgettable.

IMO, section 216 is the best section in the house

Thanks for all the suggestions! We can't wait. I keep hearing rumors about pretty decent tailgating down there!

make sure to get you and your family parked and on campus before 830 at the latest or it is miserable. Especially for a day game

Don't be shy about approaching people's tailgates and telling them where you're from and that its your first lsu game. You will get a warm reception we have a reputation to uphold
