Do you like it? Does buying the coffee pods get expensive as opposed to just buying coffee like normal?

Thinking about getting one for my dad for his birthday or Christmas.

TIA!

Have it and love it, yes it is more expensive but it won't put you in the poor house. I bought one for the house then the office and I know of at least ten people that I have convinced to buy one and all of them love it

A pot to boil water in, coffee, a French Press. Coffee making is not rocket science, and you can do this on a camp fire.

I do love the variety. It's a pretty simple concept.

I've been thinking of one myself. How long does it take to brew a cup?

about 15 seconds. Like others said, it's great because of the convenience (lack of cleanup/time) and not all of the flavors. My wife doesn't drink coffee so I'm not brewing a pot every day before work just for one cup.

I'll add some of the pods are much better than others, at least for my taste. I'm not talking flavored ones either, I hate flavored coffee.

Try several and find the ones you like.

Bigkatcoffees(something like that) will let you buy variety packs- 25 pods total, five different pods per pack

Dunkin Donuts are now available but only in DD stores. Starbucks is supposed to be available some time in November.

You don't have to buy the individual pods if you didn't want to. Buy one of the refillable cups that allow you to put your own blend in.

This

I don't use my wife's Keurig very often because I usually drink coffee only in the morning. My wife however, drinks only decaf and likes a fresh cup in the evening. The Keurig that I bought her has been used so much, she is wearing it out and I might have to buy her a new one. She has already worn out one of the refillable K-cups.

Daily user at home and at work.

I love it. There are plenty of sources online, Amazon etc, to find the pods at a very reasonable price. ~.25 to .27 a cup, maybe a little cheaper if you catch a good deal.

And as everyone has mentioned - variety. Variety is the spice of life.

We got one and love it. It's especially great for my husband who works from home...he can have just a cup of coffee without making a whole pot. I've bought pods online thru Keurig's site (you get a discount on shipping, etc) and they have pretty good reviews of the various blends. They have sample packs of 6 pods, which is great if you want to try a flavor but don't want to commit to the 18-pod box. But sometimes if we run out of a favorite, I'll just pick it up locally at Target, Kroger or Bed Bath and Beyond. And I do have the K-Cup that I load my own Community or CDM into, that's a must-have. Good luck!

No opinion. Just a hot tip. DO NOT make the hot chocolate in the machine. Pour the powder in the cup into your mug and run a cycle of hot water. It mixes the same and does not clog your lines.

Love mine. There is your opinion.
