they are so good with MAYBE two legit SEC linebackers. Baker and Minter are the only two guys that I would consider legitamate SEC LBers. That just speaks to the coaching of Chavis and the unbelievable units that the DL and the secondary are. Once we get some legit SEC bodies in there at LBer, its gonna be scary

Yep bringing in some fresh talent in the recruiting this year at LB. With any luck at all Minter and others will step up and improve LSU at that position next year. If we improve at LB there will be no discussion of IF the LSU 2012 defense is the best ever. The only debate will be which NFL defenses can compare!

He played an awesome game against Bama, thats why I consider him to be one of our two legit SEC LBers. WE have guys like Francois (like 6 tackles all year despite starting most games) and Hatcher who cant make a tackle to save his life who are in the 4 or 5 man rotation and we still have a top 3 total defense in the nation, which amazes me. Just wait till we get some really good LBers

no, he's down 2 tackles/ gm from his pace last yr, and is nowhere near his TFLs or sacks. Bama was his high tackle game with 8, so hopefully, he's trending up.

What impressed me about this defense is that every time the Tide crossed our 20-30 yard lines the got their faces caved in for their trouble.
