Gump logic on D lines

I live in Birmingham and had a hump tell me that Alabamas D line was a huge advantage because it only takes three Alabam lineman to do what 4 LSU do, I started lol and explained 3-4 vs 4-3 defense to him as he looked at me with a blank look on his face.

Well, by his logic, it only takes 3 LSU linebackers to do what it takes 4 Bama linebackers. So, clearly, our LBs give us a huge advantage.

I hate to admit it but he's smarter than most of our fans if he just knows we run a 3-4. I think I understand about 1/2 of it which would put me in the top 3% of fans.
