UVA's band embarrassed Auburn's band. Badly. They were awesome and had great energy. Auburn was

I thought the UVA band was terrible, but I'm a homer what do I know. I sat 10 seats away from their band.

In terms of sound or putting on a show?
I don't appreciate marching bands for the sound really. They were awesome to watch though.
But their PA guy's voice was really annoying.

They had too much percussion (cuimbols)(sp). I don't know shite from a horse's arse about music and bands, but I sit right next to every opposing team's band when they come to AU. They played unique songs no other bands' play, but they sounded awful. I don't think we were tried to do anything special b/c they had to get three massive bands on/off the field.

The AU band has one of the bigger bands in the country with 420 members and it's still one of the best in the country.

They were a glorified drumline with dancers, and their marching fundamentals were seriously off. Not marching in-time, lines weren't straight, and even their dancing wasn't always together. If you're gonna add that extra stuff in, at least get the basics right first. Yeah, they looked flashy and all, and they sounded alright, but when you're a marching band, you need to know how to march.

I can't believe I'm actually responding to this considering the Nat'l Champ game is on tv, but what about made them entertaining? I sat right next to them, and I found absolutely nothing about them to be appealing.
