Speed Rushers on defense
Fast QB
A center who can run 5 yard curls all day long after snapping with good hands.

on defense, i used to get like 10 sacks a game. You get a good pair of rushers and you can really dominate. Also, have a center who can catch and mobile QB.

We usually had our best overall athlete play QB

One that I always employ...

We usually did this with two down lineman and one or two LBs.

Put your tallest player as a rusher frm the QBs strong side. The QBs strong side is the opposite from the hand he throws from. If he is right handed, the QBs strong side is the left side of the field, to make throws too. This is because when the QB props up after the snap, he is facing the left side of the field(defenses left side, from the Ds point of view). Throws to this side of the field are typically more accurate because the qb is not throwing against his body, especially when on the run(happens a lot in flag football). Taking this, usually first option, away will put the QB on the run to the other side of the field, creating a lot of broken plays for the offense.

Sometimes we would do a delayed LB blitz from the Ds right side, While letting your other d lineman drop back into coverage. This will have their other o-lineman double up on you tall guy blitzing, or just get confused. What this LB does is wait to see how the QB reacts after avoiding the initial rush form the left. He goes in for the kill to tackle or to Squash any attempt from the qb to scramble for yards.

In summation, get the QB on the run as quickly as possible. But leave him with no options. In every level of football This is decided at the line more than in the secondary.

All this considered should create more turnovers and 3rd/4th and longs.

And pay bounties to your players who complete this task.

Years ago, but we ran the option, with a running back who could throw well also. We were basically unstoppable from red zone to red zone. At that point it becomes a matter of spreading out the defense and a QB with a quick release.

Against a cover 2 defense just run smash routes every play until they have to defend you man. We did a variation of this at LSU in 7 on 7 and never lost. It's easier to do with 8. Run this same play and just switch sides with the trips.

3 receivers left and one right. X Y H Z
-Have X run a 7 yard hitch to his outside shoulder
-Have Y run a flag route into the natural box created by the corner and the safety
-Have H run a skinny post behind the linebacker
-Have Z run a go route

Read the safety, pick them apart accordingly, score touchdowns. The End
