I wouldn't say top 5, but these are among my favorites :

1) Opening riff to "The Last Time" - Stones
2) Opening riff to "Beat It" - Eddie Van Halen c/o MJ
3) Solo in the middle of "Aqualung" - Jethro Tull
4) Solo in "China Grove" - Doobies
5) Solo in "Dazed & Confused" - Page
6) Opening riff to "I Feel Fine" - Beatles
7) Solo in "When the Lights Go Down in the City" - Journey

There are just so many more.

There is a particular riff in "Down to the Waterline" that is very pleasant to the ear. Has to be one of my favourites.

Anyone who knows the song has to know what I'm talking about

Great one.

Throw in Joy Division's "Shadowplay" for different spectrum.

Hendrix - Voodoo Child
Nugent - Stranglehold (not a big fan of his but that is a sexy arse riff)
McCartney - oo you
Pink Floyd - Have a Cigar (bass guitar count? )

5th is a tie
Dead Weather - Blue Blood Blues
Them Crooked Vultures - Elephants

Not the best ones of all time obviously, but those are ones I'm currently on a kick for.

here's my favorite guitar parts in songs-

"Unchained"- Van Halen, first 15 seconds

"Rainbow in the Dark"- Dio, guitar solo

"Am I Evil"- Diamondhead, last 15 seconds or so of intro & first 10 seconds of main part of song

"Mouth For War"- Pantera, first 20 seconds

"Copperhead Road"- Steve Earle, at about 2:30 where it starts to completely kick arse

I could probably think of a dozen more, those come to mind first though
