i think that this is going to be a very fun part of our offense to watch. kinda like a foil to our short-side option game.

something about our current setup reminds me so much of those '00 and '01 offenses.

He dragged a few guys in the Ole Miss game, but that's not saying much. That's the only play of his I remember watching. What other games did he play in?

He will be better than Josh Reed. Bold prediction, I know.

That was a beast run. He went over 50ft with someone hanging on

I think he scored a td against kentucky. Pretty sure he got a few carries in most of the blow out wins

He's been practicing at WR for a week, taking reps no one aside from coaches have seen, and you think he'll be better than our lone Bilitnekoff winner?

I'd take it.

josh reed only played receiver for 2 years, though.

Wendell Davis is the best WR to ever play at LSU.

He only played receiver for 2 years and has the most receiving yards in a career by close to 500 yards. He actually did not score many tds in 01 when he had over 1700 receiving yards. Nobody will touch that. I think what the former poster meant was he will be more dangerous than reed in space, which is possible. Magee has more speed and power.

Reed was unreal. Amazing awareness and body control.

Well, I 'll admit that it's WAAAAAYYYY too early for that bold of a prediction. I make the comaprison because:

a.) They both were running backs who were buried on the depth chart but were too good to not have on the field

b.) I believe that Magee is a better athlete than Reed.

Odds are that I'll be wrong, but I really do like this kid.

Henderson falls in that category as well. Even had some nice reps as a rb. He was the essence of a vertical threat and it translated to the nfl. Td machine....2 years at receiver and is probably still top 5 receivers in tds.

If you saw any games at Franklinton you know you are in for a treat. When Franklinton has a stud RB that goes to Miss state but LSU's RB offer goes to the ath at QB..you know he's somethin special. No the kid isn't a starter for us but he brings a unique style that is too good to keep off the field.

Josh Reed is my favorite. There were games where he just couldn't be stopped. Went to him over and over.

And after the catch... amazing. And the blocking he did down field... pure awesome!

When the move was made to put Magee at that position a redo of Reed if only .5 would be a huge boost to our 2012 offensive production. Would be a difference maker... could save a game or even two.
